Sugar Cookies

Brenda


1 cup shortening                                              Basic Buttercream Frosting:
2 cups sugar                                                                1 lb (3 ½ cup) powdered sugar
Cream: 4 eggs                                                             ½ cup crisco
            1 cup milk                                                       ¼ cup water
            2 tsp. vanilla                                                    ½ tsp. vanilla
            6 cup flour                                                       ½ tsp. lemon
            2 tsp. soda                                                       ¼ tsp. rum (where do we get this Brenda?)
            4 tsp. cream of tartar                                       pinch of salt
            1 tsp. salt                                             Mix all ing. together and beat until well blended.

Mix thoroughly.  Chill completely.  Roll out and cut out. 
Bake at 350 F for 8-10 min.  Makes about 3 dozen.
