Homemade Oreos

2 pkg. devil’s food cake mix                                      1 ½ cup shortening

                                                                                   4 large eggs                

Mix cake, shortening, and eggs until sticky.  No LIQUID!  Use 1 tsp. mixture and roll into balls.  Put on ungreased cookie sheet.  Allow plenty of room to form a circle.  Bake at 350 F for 5-8 min.  They will look undone, but if cooked too long, cookies will go hard.                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Frosting:

1 ½ lb. powdered sugar                                  1 cube margarine                    

8 oz. cream cheese                                          1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients until smooth.  Frost 2 cookies together.
